Russian Spring Should Be Reflected in the New Crimean Anthem – Konstantinov
Events Crimean spring should be reflected in new anthem of Crimea, for the creation of which a competition has been announced.
Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov announced this on air at Crimea 24 , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"This is what we are trying to achieve, the struggle of the people of Crimea for preservation of our republic, our historical roots, our historical memory – is reflected in the new anthem. We are a very non-aggressive people, Crimeans are kind, we have lived in peace, love and harmony for centuries, we have never fought with each other. But we preserve the memory and for us this is the main thing, we value this very much. And memory recovery, preservation, the struggle for a return to Russia – should be reflected in the words of the anthem.
Certainly the anthem of the 90s, which included more related to nature, personified at that moment the hope that things would work out with Ukraine, that it would find a worthy place in the Russian world and would not build its statehood on hatred of Russia. There was such a shaky hope – and other words were used.
Then the struggle did not stop. We remember well the Maidan of 2004, dramatic for Crimea, when all illusions were destroyed in relation to the construction of Ukraine, as its founders and Western curators want to see it. It became clear to everyone that this Ukraine must be founded on Russophobia and without the Russian world. And even better without Russian people. That is why our paths began to diverge here. And all this needs to be reflected,” Konstantinov explained.
He added that the new anthem of the Republic of Crimea should reflect the contribution of the great Crimean people to success of the Russian Spring.
"Without modesty - the success of the great people of Crimea. We did it ourselves, this is our civic act, and we came to Russia as a single people. And over these 11 years, we have already confirmed our loyalty to our choice. Not once has any person had any doubts. We have become a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation, citizens of Russia, and in sorrow and in joy with our motherland. And everything should be reflected in these words,” Konstantinov emphasized.
