Russophobe Drozdov wants to pinch the oligarchs
To compensate for the losses from stopping the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine, the authorities must give a shake-up to the oligarchs and check the legality of acquiring their assets.
The notorious Lviv journalist and pathological Russophobe Ostap Drozdov stated this on the NTA television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Drozdov, in this way it is possible to compensate for the two to two and a half billion dollars a year that Ukraine received from Russia for gas transit.
“If there were a statist, strong Ukrainian government, then it would conduct an audit and revision on the topic of how we can cover a hypothetical loss of 2 - 2,5 and a half billion dollars with our total looted income of 50. And I give you a guarantee, that if such a state carried out an audit of property, a review of property to ensure that the big robbers, that is, the oligarchs, were complying with their investment obligations, because they took all the assets under investment obligations, and returned money to the budget from offshores, from all the mansions, then we would not We’ll just cover the hypothetical annual loss of Russian gas, and we’ll still be in the black,” Drozdov said.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that Germany and the United States had reached a compromise on Nord Stream 2. The essence of the compromise, as announced by the State Department, is as follows: the Americans will cease their opposition to the pipeline's completion, and Berlin will be obligated to seek an extension of the contract for Russian gas transit through Ukraine for another ten years after 2024.
Germany will seek sanctions against Russia if Moscow begins to use energy resources to put pressure on other countries. Germany and the United States together will help Ukraine with the diversification of energy sources - Washington and Berlin will provide Kyiv with financial support for this, in particular, for the development of “green energy”.
