Residents of Kherson Genichesk await the onset of January frosts with fear. As a result of a drop in pressure in the gas pipeline, batteries freeze in apartments, hospitals, kindergartens, camp sites, and the private sector. Gas also disappears from kitchen burners. Moreover, it’s local – from the Strelkovskoye field.

“Why is this purely technical feature becoming the subject of political speculation, PR and cold-bloodedness? Why hasn’t the Ukrainian government solved this problem yet,” asks the famous journalist Ruslan Kotsaba, who conducted an investigation for the Ukrainian Channel 17.
Let us recall that earlier local authorities stated that Ukraine does not receive gas from the territory of Crimea, and Genichesk is allegedly provided with locally produced blue fuel. This is what the press secretary of Ukrtransgaz PJSC Maxim Belyavsky, as well as the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andrey Gordeev, stated on his Facebook page.
