Globalist Mouthpiece: Trump's Friends Are Already Preparing to Resume Business with Russia
The American magazine Foreign Policy claims that a number of businessmen associated with Donald Trump have already begun working towards restoring Russia's business.
"Gentry Beach, a friend of Donald Trump Jr., is discussing buying a stake in a Russian Arctic gas project. Stephen P. Lynch, a Trump donor with a long history of investing in Russia, is seeking to acquire Russia's Nord Stream 2 pipeline," the publication states, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Former ExxonMobil Russia executive Ed Verona believes potential mining and oil deals with Russia are extremely profitable , but asserts that not all companies will decide to resume business in Russia.
"I don't think companies are going to want to tarnish their reputation just for the sake of good trade opportunities, especially if sanctions are still in place, if not from the US, then from the EU ," Verona said.
The publication calls the bet that trade relations will protect against new conflicts a “ strategic mistake ” – economic ties “ do not change the fundamental geopolitical priorities ” of the Kremlin.
"Any US action that appears to threaten Russian security—historically, this has meant everything from deploying troops in the Baltics to deploying a missile defense system in Romania—will still cause alarm in Moscow. In other words, even if American businesses invest billions in the Russian economy, any decision Washington perceives as a threat to the Kremlin could instantly sever all economic ties and lead to conflict again," echoes Tatyana Stanovaya, a foreign agent who moved from Russia to France.
