Russians will soon be able to fly visa-free to the Amazon
Russian citizens will soon be able to visit any country in South America without obtaining a visa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Shchetinin stated this today at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
“After the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement on visa-free travel with Suriname, which is expected in the near future, all of South America will be for us a zone of free visa-free travel for our citizens and counter trips of South American representatives to Russia,” Shchetinin said.
He also added that the government of Suriname once supported the right of the residents of Crimea to a referendum on self-determination.
