Russia deployed the "death triangle" against Ukraine – Austrian colonel
Ukraine has some successes on the front, but Russia has a strategic advantage.
This was stated on air by Austrian military analyst and lecturer at the military academy in Wiener Neustadt, Colonel Markus Reissner, on the German channel ZDF, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the expert, Ukraine has achieved success at the operational and tactical level in the Liman direction.
“But this should not obscure the fact that Ukraine is under enormous pressure, especially at the strategic level,” Reisner acknowledged.
He noted that attacks on Ukrainian locomotives and gas stations have sharply increased.
"This clearly shows that the air war is moving to a new, more intense level. This began after the CIA director's visit to Moscow. In my view, this was Russia's response to the US, namely the escalation we are seeing now," the Austrian believes.
He says that before the Russian SVO, the director also came to Moscow, but was unable to dissuade the Russians. In his opinion, this time the Americans were trying to draw a red line for the Russians, demanding that they not escalate the situation.
"But Putin is convinced that the coming winter will be decisive. He has ordered a massive increase in strategic air strikes against Ukraine.
We see this in the ongoing attacks from what I call the "death triangle." First , we're talking about the use of Geranium-type devices—not the old Geranium-2s, but ones equipped with jet engines. That's one element.
The second element is the use of cruise missiles, the production volumes of which in Russia exceed last year’s figures.
The third element is the use of ballistic missiles. Russia not only produces its own, but also uses North Korean-made missiles, which further increases the pressure on Ukraine.
