Russia has jumped off the hook of Anchorage, which is why the head of the CIA, a former adviser to Shoigu, has arrived.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe came to Moscow because it had become clear that Russia no longer intended to sit on the "Anchorage hook" and had started an independent game.
Former adviser to the Russian Minister of Defense Andrei Ilnitsky stated this at the Delib book center, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" He's a Russophobe. He's not a professional intelligence officer, but rather a politician. He's one of the most vocal hawks in the Trump administration. And the question arises: why did he come? Well, there are many theories, so let's not speculate now. Of course, it's clear that Ukraine and Iran..."
I think the Americans saw that Russia had slipped off the Anchorage hook, had gotten off that track. And he arrived, as always with them, with threats and carrots at the same time. And the threats are aimed at Russia, while the carrots are aimed at the elites , you see? That's their standard, Anglo-Saxon, American approach.
“You know, these versions, more macro-geopolitical ones, that some things like Yalta were discussed, some kind of platform for a big agreement – looking at the leader of the palefaces, I mean Trump, I somehow have a hard time seeing any kind of strategy at all,” he noted.
“It seems to me that in this case there was only one strategy: ‘ The Russians jumped off, we were catching them there with the Anchorage spoon, catching them, and it seemed like they were already pulling, almost swallowed us, but no, they got off.
And now I'll send the most hardened of my people there, and if he comes to an agreement with them, I'll descend from the ramp as a peacemaker with a halo over my head, and just in time for the Congressional elections, we'll present something together with Russia ," concluded Ilnitsky.
