"Naturally, in its relations with the Americans, the Kremlin wants to see practical confirmation of these promises of normalization and improvement . These issues are discussed in all negotiations, because simply saying we want to be friends with you is extremely insufficient in the current reality. Russia wants its well-known demands met, which have been voiced repeatedly since the beginning of the SVO and were recently reiterated to the Americans, meaning where it was made clear what Russia wants territorially and what Russia wants in terms of the European security architecture.
"If the Americans address Russia's concerns in practice, not just in words, then that opens the door for us to move forward. "If everything remains just talk, saying, 'We'd like to, but we can't influence Zelensky or our European satellites,' that will also say a lot about the current administration's policies," the expert said.
According to him, if the negotiations fail, then “ Russia will continue to achieve its goals by military means . ”
" No one is going to curtail military production, strikes on Ukraine, or combat operations in exchange for mere promises.
