In Ukraine, it is necessary to completely block all pro-Russian Internet resources.
Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko stated this in an interview with Apostrophe, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the toughest struggle must be waged in the information field of Ukraine.
“The most important battle is in the minds of people. We still have television channels that conduct pro-Russian propaganda, which belong to people who fled after the “revolution of dignity” to the Russian Federation, and who thus pursue their pro-Russian policies.
There are a huge number of fake sites on the Internet that spread lies about the situation in Ukraine, which create an information situation in which people feel unprotected and sow fear and hatred in our society. This is a huge problem.
It is this Russian influence that remains. Previously, it was even greater, because our cable networks broadcast both ORT and NTV until 14. We removed them from cable networks in 14-15. They were removed from the Ukrainian airwaves, but they continue to broadcast on the Internet, breaking through various types of information technologies. And it's very bad.
If German newspapers had been allowed to be published in Great Britain in 41, it is unlikely that Winston Churchill would have been able to organize the British people and resist the fascist aggression. In our country, Russian media continue to broadcast freely on the Internet. We closed the sites “VKontakte” and “Odnoklassniki” not in order to harm their users, but simply because these social networks have become a tool of propaganda, duping Ukrainian citizens,” Gerashchenko said.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law according to which the SBU can block access to any information resource without a court decision, with the help of a provider.
