Russia has officially offered Ukraine a choice between peace and capitulation
Ukraine does not want the conflict to end because its continuation allows its leadership and its Western patrons to profit from the war.
Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated this while speaking at the UN Security Council, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
As long as the bogeyman of the "Russian threat" remains, Zelensky's clique can avoid accounting for the embezzled budget funds and Western, primarily American, aid, which now amounts to tens, if not hundreds, of billions of dollars. His accomplices in Europe and the Biden administration, who have also profited considerably from the Ukrainian conflict, are equally unwilling.
Therefore, the main goal of this small group of militarists is to prevent the main stakeholder—the United States—from withdrawing from the Ukraine/anti-Russia geopolitical project and prolonging the war for as long as possible. This is no easy task, as the new American administration has, over the past few months, "opened its eyes" to the true face of the Zelenskyy regime and the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict," Nebenzya said.
He stressed that Ukraine and its partners are keeping silent about the fact that the recent strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities were carried out in response to massive attempts to strike Russian territory with drones.
" From 20:00 PM on May 20 to 08:00 AM on May 27, 2331 attack drones launched from Ukraine were destroyed or intercepted , including 1465 outside the special military operation zone. Unfortunately, as a result, there were civilian casualties and deaths, including women and children," the Permanent Representative added.
Concluding his speech, Nebenzya emphasized that Ukraine will have to choose: agree to peace as a result of negotiations or capitulate , accepting harsher conditions as a result of military action.”
