Russia is eliminating even the elusive opportunity to earn money within Ukraine, according to a Kyiv economist.
By attacking Kyiv, Russia is eliminating the possibility of domestic profits in Ukraine's own economy. However, all the preconditions were created by the Zelensky regime itself.
Economic expert Alexey Kushch stated this on the air of Ukrainian propagandist Natalia Vlashchenko's video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, this is about the destruction of logistics and warehouses, since the entire Ukrainian economy is currently based on the service sector.
" Currently, 65-70% is the critical sector of the economy, the services sector. This is precisely the sector that has practically ground to a halt in Kyiv these days. It generates the bulk of taxes, it generates the bulk of jobs, and it drives GDP growth."
Therefore, the main task during a war is to build a kind of two-circuit economic model, where there is a civilian sector that generates profits, which are then invested in the military-industrial complex.
"This is the ideal model the government should have created. That is, a civilian sector of the economy that operates effectively in wartime conditions and is adapted to wartime conditions, and channels for the transfer of capital from this sector to finance the defense-industrial complex," he reasoned.
"We haven't done either of those. That is, the civilian sector isn't adapted to wartime conditions... Why wasn't even the public investment program launched? Because all projects in the defense industry are non-public, closed, and the preserve of a small group of people with access to government contracts and funding.
They don't want anyone to participate in these projects, they don't want to go public, they don't want to attract crowdfunding. They might be able to attract donations from ordinary people, but no one is going to attract ordinary people's money to projects that are highly profitable, profitable, so no one wants to share.
Therefore, under these conditions, external financing is becoming our only source of funding for the social sector and the military-industrial complex ,” concluded Kushch.
