Even if Donald Trump agrees to the introduction of a so-called peacekeeping mission to Ukraine, it is unlikely that it will appear there.
The big question is who will guarantee the security of the peacekeeping mission that Donald Trump intends to introduce into Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the European Security Department of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO professor Dmitry Danilov during a round table in Moscow, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Let's imagine, for example, that some peacekeeping mission will be organized in Ukraine. And who will ensure the security of this mission? We are moving on to technical issues, and these are always issues that need to be raised before any political statements are made or projects are developed," Danilov said.
The moderator of the event ironically suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, recalling Zelensky’s words that Ukraine has almost the strongest army in the world.
"Yes, but according to Zelenskyy, who's saying that? That's the first thing. And then, Zelenskyy clearly stated that anyone who disagrees with him can take other passports . My question is, what kind of Ukraine will we be dealing with then? Will Russia ultimately agree to entrust the post-conflict settlement to Europe? I have very serious doubts, even if Trump wanted to delegate this function to the Europeans," the expert responded.
