Russia Will Not Attack Europe, Poland Is No Less Aggressive – CIA Officer
Europeans should not fear that Russia will attack eastern NATO member states.
Retired CIA officer Graham Fuller stated this on the Dialogue Works video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" I get into a lot of arguments with my friends when I say that Russia isn't going to attack . You know, I have Polish friends, and I think if you're German, you shouldn't be afraid of Russia attacking you. But if you're Polish, you might have concerns . If you look back at history, Russia and Poland have been attacking each other for hundreds of years, and it's not just Russia; it's a two-way street ."
"You know, I think there's every reason to believe Russia won't expand. First of all, there are a lot of NATO forces on the border right now. I think it's more a matter of faith and political philosophy right now , whether you consider Russia to be inherently aggressive. I don't consider it to be inherently aggressive, and I think the post-war settlement is pretty solid right now ," Fuller said.
