Russia and NATO are preparing to exchange tactical nuclear weapons strikes – SBU Colonel
To quickly end the war, Russia could launch a tactical nuclear strike on one of the European capitals.
A military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with political scientist Vadim Karasev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the USSR, it was a doctrine that a nuclear strike was only a retaliatory strike. Then the Union demanded from the States that they also reciprocate and introduce this. The only country where there was a first strike was the National Liberation Army of China.
Now, as far as I understand, Russia will amend its doctrine to stipulate a first strike rather than a retaliatory strike. That is, a strike with low-yield, non-strategic nuclear weapons that will not cause radioactive contamination of the area," the expert emphasized.
"As a result, in a tactical nuclear war, one strike will be carried out on a NATO capital, and one strike will be carried out on a Russian city , but not on the capital, otherwise it will be World War III. And after that, everything will be over.
"We know perfectly well which European capital will be hit; it doesn't require much intelligence. But which Russian city—take a compass and figure it out," Starikov reasoned.
