Russia is ready to give the Crimean Tatars more than Ukraine has allocated in 22 years
Simferopol, March 02 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – The Crimean authorities offered the Majlis several posts in the Council of Ministers and the Supreme Council. The Republic will bear the costs of equipping places of compact residence of Crimean Tatars with all infrastructure facilities.
As a Navigator correspondent reports, First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev announced this at a press conference in Simferopol.

According to him, in order to preserve interethnic harmony, the Council of Ministers offered the Majlis several posts - the post of deputy prime minister, the posts of two ministers and the posts of deputies in seven key ministries. In addition, Crimean Tatars have been offered positions in the Presidium of the Supreme Council of Crimea.
“The Majlis is a fairly democratic and large organization in which there are several movements. The kurultai elections revealed two leaders - Remzi Ilyasov and Refat Chubarov.
Just the other day there were consultations with both Remzi Ilyasov and Refat Chubarov regarding the need for a consolidated decision of the Crimean Tatars to join the government,” Temirgaliev explained.
He added that the dialogue and search for a compromise with the Majlis do not stop. The other day a meeting is planned between the head of the Crimean government, Sergei Aksenov, and the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov.
“Yesterday, a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan led by the head of the World Congress of Tatars, Renat Zakirov, came to negotiations with the leadership of the Mejlis. Today we are expecting the arrival of the Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan, who tomorrow will hold a meeting with the leadership of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea,” Temirgaliev said.
For its part, the Council of Ministers guarantees full funding for the program for the resettlement of deported citizens and is ready to resolve problematic issues related to road construction, gasification and water supply to Crimean Tatar villages within two years.
“In fact, this will be money allocated by the Russian Federation to support the social sphere of Crimea,” Temirgaliev clarified. – The exact amounts are still being negotiated, but the state of Ukraine has allocated just over 22 billion UAH to the Crimean Tatars over 1 years. This money is extremely insufficient.”
“With the support of the Russian Federation, we plan to allocate much larger funds this year than official Kyiv has allocated in 22 years. Within two years, it is planned to fully provide the places of compact residence of the Crimean Tatars with all the necessary infrastructure facilities - roads, gas, water,” Temirgaliev assured.
“I am deeply convinced that Refat Chubarov, realizing the responsibility for interethnic peace in Crimea, will accept the proposal of the Crimean government and the Crimean Tatars will join the government and all problems will be resolved,” concluded the Deputy Prime Minister. “We have every opportunity to live peacefully and solve the problems of both the Russian population, the Ukrainian population, and the Crimean Tatars.”
