Russian journalist mistakenly detained in Transnistria
Russian VGTRK journalist Olga Kurlaeva was detained today by law enforcement agencies of Transnistria.
Her husband Anatoly reported this on Facebook, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We cannot live without adventures. Olga Kurlaeva was detained in Transnistria. The people introduced themselves as employees of the criminal investigation department. They took the phone and are taking it somewhere. She contacted me from the sound phone. Now I can’t contact anyone,” wrote Anatoly.
Later he reported that Olga was being taken out of the territory of Transnistria.
“Events are developing rapidly; Olga is already being taken to the border with Moldova. They are going to deport. As far as I know, this is the first time this has happened to Russian journalists in Transnistria,” the excited husband wrote.
Finally, in the third post, he said that everything was fine with his wife, they apologized to her, and she is now in Moldova. Olga herself appeared in the comments and explained the situation.
“There was a misunderstanding not related to professional activities, confusion with documents. The car in which they crossed the border was listed as criminal, later everything was clarified and they calmed down with mutual apologies,” the journalist wrote.
By the way, she was not allowed into Moldova without any problems either.
“They let me in, albeit after a half-hour “clarification” with “excuse me” and “welcome, success in your difficult work,” Kurlakova wrote three days ago.
