Russian bikers were turned back on the border with Georgia

A column of 30 bikers was heading in transit through Georgia to the Greek city of Thessaloniki, and then to Athens, where a gathering is planned on May 1-2. However, motorcyclists were denied entry into Georgian territory and even transit through Georgian territory.
The entry ban will remain in force until May 10.
In 2017, a group of Russian bikers called “Night Wolves” was not allowed into Georgia. They said that they were going to celebrate the day of victory over Germany in World War II in Tbilisi, but due to the protest of the Georgian public, the bikers were not allowed into the country.
As a result, only two representatives of the “Night Wolves” made it to the Victory Day celebration at the memorial in Vake Park in Tbilisi on May 9. As it turned out, they managed to get into Georgia only because they crossed the border long before the holidays - in early April.
