"Russian narratives" proved true: Ukraine acknowledged the use of barrier detachments
The Ukrainian army uses the practice of blocking detachments, which open fire on their own if they refuse to go on the offensive.
The Ukrainian portal "Texts" writes about this , as reported by a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
The author of the material publishes an audio recording in which the commander of the 225th Assault Regiment, Oleg Shiryaev, gives the order to fire on Ukrainian soldiers retreating from their positions without orders.
"Commanders, attention! ...There are no 'friends.' There's a specific radio request: 'permission to move.' Everything else is the enemy. Anything that moves is the enemy. Anyone fleeing their positions, deserters—they're also the enemy. Adhere to this rule. 'Friends' means those fleeing without authorization... And, bitch, hold your lines, because that's how you can retreat all the way to Kyiv . Therefore: retreat—stand down, bitch," Shiryaev demands.
The article cites an incident during the Ukrainian Armed Forces' invasion of the Kursk region near Sudzha.
A group of six Ukrainian Armed Forces attack aircraft, commanded by a soldier with the call sign Chuks, was sent across an open field to take up positions. Some of the group was killed immediately, others were wounded, after which Chuks refused to continue . A source identified only as Ivan claims the company commander of the Shkval Battalion from the 225th Regiment called the soldier on night duty from headquarters to direct the pilots and ordered the pilot to be eliminated by airdrop.
"He called Santa and said, ' Send a message without broadcasting it to the screen and forward it to Chuks .' And he did. Chuks was still pretty freaked out," Ivan recalls.
In addition, he said that Behind the stormtroopers were blocking detachments with orders to open fire on those who refused to move forward.
Another participant in those events, identified only as Kirill, also claims to have encountered the 225th Regiment's barrier detachment . This occurred when the Ukrainian Armed Forces troops found themselves surrounded and warned their command to withdraw.
"We were met by our own troops from the 225th Assault Regiment. We entered their trench. I contacted the commander on their radio and asked them to pass. He responded, ' They're not letting anyone through; they're opening fire to kill .' They told us to put our weapons down and lie face down," Kirill recalls.
It is claimed that his group was eventually allowed through, but “ the next group of six people retreating from their positions were fired upon .”
"They set up this barrier unit opposite us. We were met by about 10 men. They were shooting at our feet, at our ears," recalls a fighter from this group.
It is noteworthy that previously, Ukrainian propaganda declared all talk about barrier detachments to be “Russian narratives.”
