The Russian army is shutting down a key logistics route in northern Ukraine.
The Russian Armed Forces continue to target facilities supporting Ukraine's transport logistics. Today, Yuriy Bova, the mayor of Trostyanets (Sumy Oblast), posted some unpleasant news for Ukrainians, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"A difficult night. Trostyanets suffered a massive blow. Gas stations in the city were destroyed. Many homes were damaged. No civilian casualties," Bova wrote.
Blogger and Sumy region native Yuriy Podolyaka draws attention to an important detail.
"It is in Trostyanets (not Sumy) that the most important railway depot on the Vorozhba-Sumy-Lyubotin (a suburb of Kharkiv) section is located. This is where all the mainline diesel locomotives are parked.
Also in the Trostyanets area (before Akhtyrka) are the most important gas stations on the Sumy-Kharkiv road. The next ones are in Bohodukhiv. But they were completely destroyed earlier. The next ones are already in the Kharkiv area. Thus, we see how our drones are systematically eliminating the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the zone of our "North" group," Podolyaka notes.
Let us recall that at the beginning of the SVO, Trostyanets was under the control of the Russian army for about a month and was abandoned after a “gesture of goodwill.”
