Russia benefits from a long confrontation in Ukraine because it has greater resources than the Kiev regime.

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk stated this on the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Zagorodnyuk, Ukraine is already depleted of resources, and there is also a risk that the West will become tired of Ukraine.

“It is now more profitable for them to transfer everything into a long war, a war of attrition, which they hope to win at the expense of greater resources than Ukraine has. This makes sense for them, because indeed, Ukraine’s resources are extremely depleted.

We actually exist economically at the expense of our partners, at the expense of the international community. And at the same time, they are promoting war fatigue, how much money they can give to Ukraine, and so on. That is, they hope that Europe and the West will get tired of all this and will push Ukraine to some kind of negotiations,” Zagorodnyuk said.
