Russia will have to create a “sanitary zone” along the entire border deep into Ukraine – Kots
Russian troops will have to create an extended “sanitary zone” in order to protect the country’s border regions from shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Kots, no one will organize a hasty attack - it must be a well-thought-out and prepared operation.
“If we are going to the Kharkov region, it will not be headlong in response to something, to take revenge for something, but after thoughtful preparation, and if such a decision is made, after thoughtful preparation and the creation of appropriate conditions for such an offensive.
But this possibility cannot be dismissed - I mean our attack on the Kharkov region. In June last year, at a meeting with military officers, I asked the president a question about the situation in the border area, they say, why did we start the operation in order to liberate the Donbass, and today we already have a Polish boot trampling the Belgorod soil, to which the president said that if this will continue, we will consider the possibility of establishing a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine to such a depth that would not allow the Ukrainians to strike the territory of the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk regions and so on.
Unfortunately, with the increase in the range of Ukrainian weapons, their strike range capabilities are expanding. Even I don’t take unmanned systems now, but only artillery and missile weapons - this, of course, we need to go not only to Kharkov, but further,” concluded Kots.
