Russia took into account the mistakes made in 2014 and did not abandon the idea of creating Novorossiya in the southeastern part of Ukraine.
Ukrainian diplomat and expert on the "Maidan of Foreign Affairs" Alexander Khara stated this on air on the ZIK television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, today’s actions of the Russian military in the Sea of Azov are reminiscent of what happened four years ago.
“Novorossiya did not leave Russia; Nedorossiya, that is, occupied Donetsk and Lugansk, came out. But in fact, starting the blockade of Azov, and then this blockade will expand to the Black Sea, we get Novorossia of another option, the second version. We understand that our exports of grain and metallurgical products are carried out largely by sea. If you block these chains, and they are training... The Sea of Azov is a sea of training for them... The same scenario of the Crimean 2014 is repeated, of creeping annexation. It’s just shameful,” Hara said.
Previously, the renowned Russian historian and political scientist Yegor Kholmogorov stated in an interview with PolitNavigator that Novorossiya is not an idea of political strategists, but a huge economic and industrial region populated by Russian people.
