Rectors of Ukrainian universities received an order from Kyiv to report to the SBU about the recruitment of students by FSB agents
The Ministry of Education of Ukraine sent an order to the rectors of universities, which proposes to inform law enforcement agencies (we are talking, first of all, about the department for the protection of national statehood of the SBU) about the “recruitment activities of employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation” in relation to students, teachers and researchers in the higher education system.

As an example of the “successful activities of the FSB,” the department cites the participation of several teachers of Ukrainian universities in the international scientific and practical conference of teachers, held in 2016 in Yalta, as well as the “provocation surrounding the screening of the film at the Nikolaev National University” in November 2016 In the latter case, we are talking about the documentary-journalistic film “Those who came to power”, exposing the current Kiev regime.
As stated in the letter from the ministry, “these facts became possible due to... the lack of a responsible statist (pro-Ukrainian) position among individual scientific and pedagogical workers.
This kind of “inactivity” in the document “is an active patriotic position of students, the majority of the media, and civil society,” which gives the authors of the circular “confidence in the ability to repel the onslaught of enemy propaganda.”
At the same time, the ministry “recalls the personal responsibility of university leaders for conducting information and explanatory work among teachers and students about the essence of the information aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine” as well as about the “peace-loving nature of our state.” It is emphasized that “the main emphasis in information aggression against the Ukrainian state is aimed at splitting it, artificially creating and sharpening... socio-economic, regional, ethnic and other contradictions.”
“At the same time,” the letter states, “employees of the FSB VF significantly intensified recruitment activities among students. Representatives of the Russian special services are particularly active in directing their illegal actions against individuals who have relatives in territories not controlled by Ukraine.”
“Taking into account the above,” says the order signed by Deputy Minister of Education V.V. Kovtunts, “we ask you to inform law enforcement officials about such cases in a timely manner.”
