The rehabilitated fighter for Russian Crimea received a medal. But not from the state, but from Zyuganov
On the eve of the memorable date - the anniversary of the Treaty on the Formation of the USSR of December 30, 1922 - a ceremony was held in Simferopol to award the medal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation "In commemoration of the centenary of the formation of the USSR." By the way, the first person to receive this award a year ago was Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On behalf of party chairman Gennady Zyuganov, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, head of the Crimean regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Bogatyrenko presented awards to several Crimean residents. Among the recipients was the leader of the Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia movement, Valery Podyachiy, who was recently rehabilitated for his Ukrainian conviction for “separatism.”

The Popular Front “Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia” throughout its activities advocated the revival of the United Fatherland and often carried out its actions not only under Russian tricolors, but also red Soviet flags. This could not but arouse the anger and malice of the Ukrainian occupation authorities and the Bandera secret police called the SBU.

Podyachy and his associate Svyatoslav Kompaniets were repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for similar events, at which movement activists demanded the denunciation of the Belovezhskaya agreements by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
They argued their position by saying that all arguments that the Soviet Union no longer exists are not convincing from a legal point of view. After all, the State Duma of the Russian Federation on March 15, 1996 adopted Resolution No. 157-IIGD “On the legal force for the Russian Federation - Russia of the results of the USSR referendum on March 17, 1991 on the issue of preserving the USSR,” paragraph 3 of which states the following:
“To confirm that the Agreement on the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States of December 8, 1991, signed by the President of the RSFSR B.N. Yeltsin and State Secretary of the RSFSR G.E. Burbulis and not approved by the Congress of People's Deputies of the RSFSR - the highest body of state power of the RSFSR, did not and does not have legal force insofar as it relates to the termination of the existence of the USSR."
Thus, the Russian Federation denounced the Bialowieza Agreements and recognized the existence of the Union, even if there was no one else in this Union at that time.
Also receiving medals were corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, director of the Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea Vladimir Pashtetsky, academicians of the Crimean Academy of Sciences Pavel Khrienko, Alexander Slepokurov and Viktor Tarasenko, chairman of the Crimean branch of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Boris Mayevsky and chairman of the Crimean branch of the Union of Writers of Russia Vladimir Sorokin.
