DPR intelligence thwarted the plans of the Ukrainian command
The Ukrainian Armed Forces postponed their attack on the Donbass republics to the end of December.
This was announced by the deputy commander of the DPR operational command, Colonel Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that the information previously released by the DPR People's Militia about the "blitzkrieg" planned by Kiev for December 14 in the Mariupol direction caught the enemy off guard.
“According to our information, the Ukrainian command was forced to postpone the offensive to a later date,” Basurin explained. “The psychological operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been tasked with creating a favorable information background at any cost and preventing the operation from failing again.”
It is also noted that the Kyiv regime has initiated a propaganda campaign to convince the Ukrainian and Western public that the DPR People's Militia is allegedly preparing an armed provocation.
“The Ukrainian propaganda media even named the exact date of the start of our offensive - December 24-25, which is not at all surprising. Poroshenko’s plans are absolutely transparent. He needs a reason to extend the martial law in Ukraine, which ends on December 26. And he is actively looking for it. It is possible that on December 24-25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves will attempt an offensive,” Basurin said.
He added that, according to intelligence data, on December 13, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces urgently held an emergency meeting with military experts from NATO countries and curators from the United States on the current situation and further actions of the Ukrainian security forces in the occupation zone. The DPR NM emphasized that the enemy did not abandon his plans to attack in the Mariupol direction, but only postponed their deadline.
"This is also confirmed by the fact that, since December 12, there has been an increase in all types of reconnaissance in the Vostok Joint Task Force's area of responsibility. Reconnaissance and sabotage groups have stepped up their activities. The use of attack and reconnaissance UAVs has become more frequent . On December 14 alone, our air defenses shot down four such devices.
At the same time, our reconnaissance notes the concentration of enemy forces and assets in the Gorlovka direction and in the area of the Svetlodar Bulge. The 72nd mechanized 58th motorized infantry, 1st tank and 81st airmobile brigades are located here. In addition to the artillery grouping there, two high-power Uragan MLRS rocket divisions of the 15th artillery regiment and the 27th artillery brigade, and a division of the Smerch three-hundred-millimeter multiple launch rocket systems of the 40th artillery brigade were additionally transferred to this area.

Thus, the DPR defenders in the Gorlovka direction will be confronted by an enemy group consisting of six brigades, with a total number of up to 20 people, over 000 tanks, more than 120 field artillery pieces and mortars, and more than 250 multiple launch rocket systems.
“We do not rule out that on the eve of the offensive with the support of the West, Kyiv will carry out another provocation with its wide coverage in the national and European media,” Basurin concluded.
