DPR intelligence announced the date of the offensive of Ukrainian troops
On the eve of the May holidays, Ukrainian troops planned an attack on the positions of the DPR. This is stated in a statement by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic Eduard Basurin.

“As it became known from a source in the command of military unit A0456 (Odessa), on the eve of the May holidays, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and specifically the units of the Ukrainian Navy as part of one combined marine brigade, are preparing a plan for active combat operations in the Volnovakha and Novoazavsky regions of the Donetsk region.
According to the command’s plan, on April 23-24, two mobile sabotage groups are planned to be deployed to the area of the village of Shirokino. At the moment, weapons are being prepared for saboteurs. To conceal the group's operation, it is planned to use civilian vehicles equipped with mortars. The main goal of the group is to get as close as possible to the line of contact in order to conduct provocative fire at their false positions. Thus, justifying the start of retaliatory strikes on the positions of the DPR militia. And then launch a large-scale offensive in order to regain control of the territory of the Donetsk region,” the intelligence data says.
“The planning of the operation takes place against the backdrop of an “increasing degree” of rhetoric by representatives of the Ukrainian government and is accompanied by intensified propaganda in the media controlled by Kyiv,” the DPR notes.
