"Are they spreading lies? Very good. They'll fall into this trap themselves," a former DPR adviser says about Putin's logic.
The West itself has given Moscow a reason to reject requests for any kind of truce with Kiev.
This was stated on the Sputnik channel by the former adviser to the first head of the DPR, Alexander Kazakov , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We handled this situation well. Because they were the ones who escalated the conflict with their long-range strikes deep into Russian territory. We responded simply – with all our might," Kazakov believes.
He believes that Western media, which trumpeted a “ turning point on the front in Ukraine’s favor ,” themselves gave Russia the opportunity to continue the attacks.
"Putin, in a rare instance, even said this. ' They're spreading this lie? Very well ,' Putin said. ' Let them spread it, or they'll fall into the trap themselves .' And so they did.
What ceasefire? Just read your newspapers: Ukraine is winning, Russia is in its last days. So, that's it. So, there really won't be any ceasefire ," Kazakov believes.
