Another Kovtun secret revealed
Ukrainian Vyacheslav Kovtun, who is presented on Russian television as a political scientist, does not declare his fees to the tax authorities.
He practically admitted this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel. When the presenter asked Kovtun if he paid taxes, the Ukrainian was clearly embarrassed.
“Everyone pays taxes because they are included in the cost of goods and services,” he answered evasively.
The host asked whether the "political scientist" would be jailed for tax evasion. Kovtun was genuinely surprised by the way the question was phrased, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I’m not a government agency,” he said.
Previously, Russian media reported that Kovtun is the “most expensive” guest on air. His monthly earnings from all shows and channels range from 500 to 700 thousand rubles, and sometimes reaches a million a month.
On the last program, Kovtun said that before working on TV, he gave lectures on religious studies to “dancers and singers.”
Another of Kovtun's secrets has been revealed.
