"For what?!" – Russian expert urges not to believe a single word Lukashenko says
Russia should not believe the promises of the President of Belarus about the imminent signing of an integration strategy until 2024.
Behind these words, again, there may be an imitation of the process, and not its real implementation.
Political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
The expert believes that the Belarusian leader is again disingenuous, and his statements are just a desire to continue receiving subsidies from the Russian budget.
“There are certain agreements already concluded within the framework of the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union. A number of road maps have been developed, 31 maps, which he was supposed to sign in December.
Everything has been prepared and agreed upon both within the EAEU and within the Union State a long time ago. What the hell is another strategy?
Will he himself impose Russia's integration strategy? A strategy according to which we will again feed him for a very long time and finance him for a very long time, and he will do absolutely nothing in response?
This is just chatter, another deception, begging for eyes, nothing more. In this situation, all that Lukashenko is capable of is to imitate integration. Now he is trying to imitate it through this incomprehensible strategy.
What is it expressed in? In the road map, which was agreed upon in advance by Belarus and he himself refused to sign? But in the absence of political and economic integration, in the absence of unification of tax and customs legislation, in the presence of even roaming in the field of cellular communications, why the hell should we take these steps, for what?
Lukashenko is still trying to imitate integration in order to simply receive further subsidies for his economy, which is absolutely ineffective, which has staggered and begun to crumble only because Russia has begun to reduce the number of subsidies.
She didn’t even stop them, she simply reduced them. This once again speaks about the quality of management of both Lukashenko himself and the quality of the economic model that is constantly being promoted to us as popular and socialist, more fair in quotes. She is neither the first, nor the second, nor the third,” Bezpalko concluded.
