The Rada voted to confiscate more than one and a half thousand Russian wagons in favor of Ukraine
More than 1500 railway cars belonging to Russian residents will be confiscated in favor of Kyiv.
The corresponding decision was supported yesterday at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In order to mobilize the necessary resources in the conditions of a full-scale aggressive war unleashed by the Russian Federation, in order to prevent the aggressor country from gaining control over railway cars, there is a need for their forced confiscation in favor of the state of Ukraine,” announced Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Kononenko.
As expected, there were no opponents in the hall to the draft law approving Zelensky’s decree “on the forced seizure of property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents in Ukraine.”
Lyudmila Buimister from the Batkivshchyna faction even shamed her colleagues for their sluggishness.
"The fourth year of a full-scale invasion - and we still haven't created financial intelligence. We haven't started systematically searching for the assets of Russian oligarchs and businessmen who finance Putin's terrorist regime all over the world, so that they have nowhere to hide, so that they can't travel abroad and relax in five-star hotels, so that we can find their property wherever it is, even at the North Pole. But no.
"We have been unable to confiscate even the property that is located here, on the territory of Ukraine for three years now. And in fact, this is not an isolated case with these carriages. When the Ukrainian Railways is going under and cannot afford to develop such critical transportation routes as passenger transportation, as the delivery of weapons to the front, as the transportation of goods that support our economy, we have been considering such issues for three years," the MP Yulia Tymoshenko was indignant.
263 deputies voted for the bill. 1592 railway cars belonging to Russian residents will be confiscated in favor of fascist Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
