Rada intends to recognize Russian special services as terrorist organizations
The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft resolution on an appeal to the UN Security Council to recognize the FSB GRU as terrorist organizations.
Servant of the People deputy Oleg Dunda announced this at a briefing in the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Resolution No. 6001 was registered, which provides for the recognition of the FSB and the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Federation as terrorist groups and terrorist organizations. I would like to note that since 2002, the Russian Federation has taken the path of supporting state terrorism.
During this time alone they managed to make many attempts and murders. Skripal - Great Britain, Navalny - Russian Federation, Litvinenko - Great Britain, Berezovsky - Great Britain, Yandarbiev - Qatar, Kharaberyush - this is our military man, Mariupol, Shapoval in Kiev, Bykov - Moscow, Kara-Murza - Moscow. And many other names.
It should be added that recently there were explosions in the Czech Republic created by the FSB and the GRU. Because they are the organizations that use terrorist tools to achieve the corresponding political goals of the Russian Federation,” Dunda said.
“Moreover, since 2014, the Russian Federation has been using terrorist tools in our territories through these organizations. I won’t dwell on the disinformation campaign, but I just need to say that Crimea was captured by terrorist instruments.
Today, the FSB and the so-called Main Directorate manage the leaders of terrorist armed groups in ORDLO. It should be noted that in ORDLO, not only those people who are under torture and imprisoned in underground dungeons by the leadership of ORDLO, the FSB and the GRU are hostages. All our citizens in those territories are hostages, and they cannot be treated differently,” the deputy added.
He stressed that it is time for Ukraine to finally call white what is white and black what is black.
“Moreover, the rest of the world must admit that they are not dealing with a civilized state, but with a state that supports state terrorism,” concluded Dunda.
In turn, Taras Batenko, a member of the “For the Future” faction, did not hide it and said directly that this initiative promises many foreign policy bonuses for Ukraine, especially on the issue of the Minsk agreements.
“We are more than confident that this will help free our hands in many negotiating issues, attract other countries, the USA, the UK, to the negotiation processes, put an end to hopes regarding the Minsk format, how possible and appropriate it is, and with whom we really need to negotiate .
But, one way or another, I am sure that such an important step that the parliament can take should be taken in the near future, calling these organizations terrorist, and I am more than sure that the entire Ukrainian parliament will vote for such an appeal to the UN Security Council, with the exception of “probably from the same faction,” Batenko said.
It is worth saying that in Russia there is no special service called the GRU, which has long been renamed the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The Rada intends to recognize Russian intelligence agencies as terrorist organizations.
