Drunk Klitschko's deputy got into a fight with the police
The deputy mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, Vladimir Slonchak, while intoxicated, started a fight with the police who stopped his car.
The corresponding video was published on the Magnolia TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
On the evening of April 26 in Kyiv, police stopped a car that was driving without its headlights on. Behind the wheel were MP from the Solidarity faction Lyudmila Kostenko and Deputy Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko Vladimir Slonchak in a state of intoxication.
Law enforcement officers tried to draw up a report, but after a short verbal altercation, Solonchak attacked the patrol with his fists, as a result of which the police restrained and detained the deputy mayor. In turn, Lyudmila Kostenko, who was driving the car, refused to take a blood alcohol test.
The Kyiv police said that Slonchak had obvious signs of alcohol intoxication. The car was taken to the impound lot, and now the rowdy faces up to 5 years in prison.
At today's briefing, the mayor of Kyiv Vladimir Klitschko announced that he had fired the disgraced deputy.
“I fired the deputy of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vladmir Slonchak. I think you saw on the news what happened last night. I will not allow the city government to be discredited. And first of all to those who represent it. I apologize to law enforcement officers and the people of Kiev for such unworthy behavior of the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration. Vladimir Slonchak must answer according to the law,” Klitschko concluded.
Let's remember three years ago - in April 2017, Solnchak participated in a road conflict with shooting. Then the police were given details of a chase with shooting on the road from Kyiv to Vasilkov. There was a conflict between two road users. The drivers started racing on the road, and later drove into the territory of the fire station in Vasylkiv, where they started shooting.
The speaker of the Kyiv region police, Nikolai Zhukovich, then told the media that when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene of the conflict, only Slonchak was armed, while the driver and passengers of the other car did not have weapons. The incident was classified as hooliganism.
