The result of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Beijing for Ukraine can be described in one word – “offensive.” The agreements that were reached there, in particular, on the supply of Russian grain worth more than $25,5 billion, as well as Russia’s participation in the One Belt, One Road initiative, indicate that Ukraine has transformed from a once large transit country into a logistics dead end.
Alexander Dudchak , a candidate of economic sciences and a member of the Other Ukraine movement, stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator .
“There is little that is pleasant for Ukraine - at least that representatives of many countries expressed their support for Russia, and Chinese leader Xi Jinping supported Russia in its desire to defend its sovereignty. This is already a lot. Of course, also the fact that an agreement was concluded on the supply of large volumes of grain to China, which cannot be interfered with by any underwater drones or other weapons that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have.
It is quite possible that grain from new territories will be sent to China; no sanctions will apply to this. What is also offensive for Ukraine is that new transport routes are being established in the world, a new business ideology is being introduced, the implementation of the “One Belt - One Road” project, which extends not only to Eurasia, but also to Latin America.
Ukraine could occupy an important place here; it has always been called a bridge between the West and the East. But in fact, Ukraine has now, due to the policies imposed by the West, turned into a great dead end,” Dudchak said.
