Russia will not ignore the economic war being waged against it.
Anna Borshchevskaya, a senior research fellow at the Washington Institute, announced this on the France 24 channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I don't think we're any safer now than we were yesterday, because more sanctions have been imposed on Russia's energy sector. So questions about fundamental European security should be of great concern to us, because they're still relevant," Borshchevskaya said.
"And especially with NATO. What Russia is doing now with these drones that flew into Polish airspace is normalizing such violations.
And if there's no adequate response, this will gradually undermine trust in NATO, a vital Western institution. And that's part of Putin's plan.
"In other words, you won't see Russian troops storming Berlin. Instead, you'll see multifaceted attacks that normalize the erosion of trust in these institutions," she reasoned.
