Moscow - Kyiv, February 26 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday set the task for the Ministry of Defense to conduct a sudden comprehensive check of the combat readiness of troops and forces of the Western and Central military districts, as well as a number of military branches.

“In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation, today at 14:00 the troops of the Western Military District, as well as formations and military units stationed on its territory, the 2nd Army of the Central Military District, the Aerospace Defense Command, the Air Force were suddenly alerted airborne troops, long-range and military transport aviation,” Shoigu said at a meeting at the Russian Ministry of Defense.
