Putin doesn't go to the shootouts
Russian President Vladimir Putin does not take part in "on-call" meetings.
Ukrainian political scientist Pavel Shchelin stated this on air on the video blog of journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Excuse me, when you summon the leader of the world's fourth-largest economy, possibly the world's largest nuclear arsenal, you don't summon him, you rude Twitter bastard. Well, there are, excuse me, diplomatic protocols. Putin is not Trump, if you'll notice, Putin never attends any meetings unless they are either official, proper visits or the actual signing of a detailed agreement —well, classic diplomatic ones. Putin, for example, doesn't attend meetings.
"Well, they still haven't met with Trump, mind you, despite Whitkoff practically being a hotel guest in Moscow, and Dmitriev in Washington. So, top-level negotiators have been shuttling back and forth for 100 days, and yet Putin still hasn't met with Trump . I'm simply saying this to illustrate how high Putin's standards are for any personal meeting at such a high government level . And then they say, 'Come on, come tomorrow.' Well, the plan is very reliable ; it practically guarantees mutual understanding, respect, and success," Shchelin said.
