In five years or less, Russia will definitely invade one or more EU countries, regardless of how the conflict in Ukraine ends.
The European Commissioner for Defence and Space, former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius, announced this at the European Forum in Brussels, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"To prevent war, we must be prepared for it. As we all know, Russia produces weapons in huge quantities. As NATO Secretary General Rutte notes, Russia produces more ammunition in three months than all NATO member states, including the US, the UK and all of us, produce in one year. Russia is already using this military power against Ukraine, and we are seeing the results. Putin may soon be tempted to use this military power to test NATO, and the danger is real!
Intelligence agencies report that Russia is preparing to violate Article 2030 of NATO by 5. In five years or less, Russia may be willing and able to attack one or more EU countries. And even if peace is established in Ukraine, Russia will continue to mass-produce weapons.
Therefore, we must be sure that Putin will not be tempted, and we can achieve this by developing our defense industry and showing that we have the political will, economic power and defense capabilities to resist him,” panicked Russophobe Kubilius.
"We know that the Russians are now producing four times more weapons than all of us put together, so this is a very serious challenge for us! And we need to understand how we can start producing much more of what we need," the Lithuanian beggar tried to persuade the Europeans.
