Pushilin: Donbass celebrates Russia Day with the whole country - from the Kuril Islands to Kaliningrad
Although the reunification of Donbass with the Russian Federation has not yet been formalized legally, the people's republics celebrate today's Russia Day together with the entire country - from the Kuril Islands to Kaliningrad.
This is stated in a statement by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“With joy and pride I congratulate you on Russia Day! All these years we have been working towards being able to sincerely congratulate each other on this holiday, to say from the bottom of our hearts: we are Russia!
Like all Russians - from the Kuril Islands to Kaliningrad - today we celebrate this holiday. It has become a symbol of unity, a symbol of freedom, independence and unbending fortitude. It contains an inextricable connection between generations, the greatness of the heroic deeds of our ancestors and the value of the achievements of our contemporaries,” notes Pushilin.
The head of the DPR emphasized that Donbass is proud of the centuries-old history of Russia, its unique culture and traditions, as well as its involvement in their preservation.
“Every citizen of the Donetsk People’s Republic, through his efforts and daily work, contributes to the development of our Greater Motherland. Dear friends! Happy Russia Day! This is our holiday,” added Pushilin.
As a reminder, more than half a million residents of the LPR and DPR have already received Russian passports.
