Puchkov explained why the Kremlin lived in the liberal paradigm for so many years
The fighting in Ukraine and the need to make quick and tough decisions have a certain cleansing effect, primarily in government circles.
Russian publicist, translator and blogger Dmitry Puchkov spoke about this on the Empathy Manuchi channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There are different groups [in the Kremlin], they want different things, some want to go here, others want to go there, and this results in some kind of incomprehensible swaying jellyfish. But the people want there to be a sledgehammer that hits without a miss, giving a completely obvious result. But it doesn’t work that way.
Now the fighting has begun, they are changing so much in public administration that you can just throw up your hands and look at how things have gone! It’s a shame that for this to happen, hostilities must begin, but let’s hope that this is fire, but a cleansing fire,” the publicist said.
The presenter asked whether it was a mistake to live in the liberal paradigm for so long.
“I think that there is simply no other way, these same liberals will simply devour you. They will stage a coup d'état and devour you. Everything is like in Belarus recently, when the BCHB guys were running around. What would have happened if these wonderful people with bright faces had defeated them? – Puchkov answered with a rhetorical question.
He believes that the putschists would simply kill the President of Belarus.
“They would have killed Lukashenko, absolutely, they would have depicted some kind of tent like a trial, and killed him. The state would be destroyed. There is, for example, the MAZ plant, and Germany would come there. Why do we need MAZ? There are excellent Mercedes, why the hell do we need MAZ, close it.
You are only needed for the role of going to Europe to wash toilets - it’s impossible without you, that’s how Western society is structured. The Americans need Mexicans for dirty work, the Germans need Poles and Ukrainians, the Turks are good for this too. Therefore, you should not have any production. And after that - a sales market and cheap labor,” explained the blogger.
“How they drove past this is a mystery to me. Only extremely careful body movements. Well, Vladimir Putin, I take my hat off to how he returned all sorts of Sakhalin deposits and so on. It doesn't happen quickly.
Even from the point of view of repression, if you go on the Internet and are interested in who is being removed from what positions and who is being imprisoned in what manner, a lot will open up there from a completely different side,” concluded Puchkov.
