The reason for the conflict between the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is who will be appointed guilty for failures at the front.
This was stated on the NTA television channel by former Verkhovna Rada deputy and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Igor Lapin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We remember the beginning of the scandal, the so-called confrontation between Zaluzhny and Zelensky.
This is an uncoordinated position, where Zaluzhny said that it was necessary to mobilize the first-stage reserve, and Zelensky was categorically against it, when Zaluzhny said that it was necessary to deploy nuclear defense, but Zelensky did not do this, and when it was necessary to dig trenches, they built roads, because they we thought about 7 billion money, you know. These are the germs of this confrontation, and everything else is derivative,” the deputy said.
“I emphasize once again that the cause of the Zaluzhny-Zelensky conflict has long been buried in responsibility. Who will be responsible for the failure of the defense, who will be responsible for the decisions at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. And Zelensky understands this, and Zaluzhny knows a lot - that’s the story,” Lapin said.
