Ordinary Ukrainians regret that it was not possible to eliminate Poroshenko
The case of Ukrainian negotiator Vladimir Ruban, arrested on charges of plotting a coup, will fall apart in court.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets by the deputy head of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Kirill Molchanov.

“Poroshenko, demonstrating internal enemies to society, is preparing for the presidential elections. Lutsenko can say whatever he wants, but in court the prosecution will fall apart. We are talking about preparing an analogue of the Soviet “Doctors’ Plot,” but the presidential administration is too weak to complete what it started. Nobody in Ukraine believes the charges brought against Ruban. Moreover, people laugh at accusations of an attempted coup. The overwhelming majority of ordinary Ukrainians sympathize with him and regret that the plan, if there was one, failed,” the expert said.
In his opinion, most likely, Ruban became a victim of a showdown between the security forces.
“Soon the main violin in the region will be played not by the SBU, but by the General Staff. In the redistribution of spheres of influence, the Security Service is trying to prove its usefulness and for this purpose threw Ruban a shipment of smuggled weapons. Subsequently, Poroshenko took advantage of the situation to his advantage,” Molchanov believes.
