"Just Business": Ukraine's Western Allies Are Unabashed in Helping Russia Build Missiles
The Russian military-industrial complex continues to use Western components despite the sanctions regime.
Taras Boetsky, head of the sanctions policy department at the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
During a speech by one of the speakers, who stated that Western components were now practically no longer used in Russian military products, Boyetsky's demeanor expressed disagreement, which the press conference moderator noted.
"They noticed my reaction. Actually, yes. This is one of the sore points. And, unfortunately, our intelligence community, the investigative agencies, can probably best confirm this: every time a new product arrives, we, unfortunately, see components originating from partner countries of the sanctions coalition," the Foreign Ministry official complained.
According to him, we are talking about dual-use goods.
"It must be acknowledged that these components are very often intended for civilian use, and they are not assigned to any particular [sanctions] regime. And there is still much work to be done for the entire community that is committed to the interests of our state in this horrific war. That is my observation," Boyetsky stated.
