Breakthrough of the Russian Armed Forces: Kramatorsk is cut off from Dobropolye
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring reserves to the Dobropolye region north of Krasnoarmeysk, where the Russian Armed Forces have broken the front.
Following frankly panicked posts in Ukrainian military public groups, dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy broke his silence on the matter.

"Groups of Russians without equipment have advanced about 10 km in several places. Some have already been found, partially destroyed, and partially captured. We will also find and destroy the rest in the near future. The goal of this advance is clear to us: to create a certain information background by August 15, especially in the American space, that Russia is moving forward, and Ukraine is losing territory," Zelensky said yesterday evening.

At the same time, it is difficult to say for sure what is happening in the area of the breakthrough, but the Ukrainian military does not yet share the official optimism.

"To understand the scale of the failure: Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been spotted in the villages of Petrovka and Novovodanoye, which effectively means the Dobropillya-Kramatorsk logistics route has been rendered, at the very least, temporarily unusable (highlighted in green). This route is the only bypass road connecting the left flank of the Donetsk front (Slovyansk-Kramatorsk) with the Pokrovsk-Mirnohrad direction," writes the public page of the 46th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Renowned American military analyst Michael Kofman is also alarmed.
"The defense of existing salients will become even more difficult," he predicts, "and this breakthrough could lead to an accelerated withdrawal of [Ukrainian] defense forces from these positions. The Ukrainian command is moving additional units to counter the advance, but this is a sign of potentially worse things to come."

In Dobropolsky publics, local residents write that Russian fighters have completely occupied the village of Zolotoy Kolodets, and it is noted that there are “a lot of Russians” there.
