Forecast: “new regionalization” and a rebellion of local elites against Kyiv are coming in Ukraine
In the near future, strong regionalization and criticism of local authorities will begin in Ukraine.

Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the reason for this was the so-called “reforms” adopted recently by the central government. Now the local elites have received a blank check and, in order to avoid mass discontent locally, will demand greater powers from the center.
“Indeed, they are now getting a unique chance to become more popular and respected among the population than the discredited Kyiv and the discredited state... Criticizing stupid reforms, they themselves will implement local regional, municipal programs to help the most disadvantaged, support individual health care institutions for one simple reason - they are there live, these are their people, their voters. If something happens, people will go out, first of all, to the squares at their place of residence, and not go to Kyiv. They will no longer go to Kyiv. This means that these genocidal reforms will not only be criticized out of hand, but they will also be gradually used at the regional level as a reason to implement their own program and provide additional support in their own region.
If yesterday it was still difficult to say where the new regionalization would begin, now all the cards are in the hands of the regional elites. They will fight for every penny and assert themselves on every social program, criticizing the center, and declaring themselves as political forces, local authorities, which are capable of solving the problems of people who are not seen in Kyiv. This means that the topic of strong regions that will declare their additional rights and the need to earn money on the natural market, on infrastructure, on special powers for taxation is the topic of the coming months,” Ermolaev said.
