The sale of land could end in rural riots for Zelensky
Considering the peculiarities of the Ukrainian mentality, the initiative of the team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to open the land market could end very badly.
Ex-People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Russia-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He (Zelensky - ed.) speaks today and says that we will carry out land reform by the end of the year. Does he really think that all this will go so smoothly and calmly in Ukraine? I believe this will not be the case.

“I don’t know how the story with the land issue will end. I am afraid that they will provoke Ukraine into a deeper, serious conflict within the country. The problem is that you need to know the mentality of Ukrainians. They can turn a blind eye to the billion-dollar thefts that are happening in the country, but when his pear is planted on the boundary, and someone comes and says: “This is not your pear, this is mine,” then, believe me, these stories will not just end.
I once worked in the district administration, I know what the situation with the land is. The largest number of controversial issues are precisely land issues; for every ten centimeters of land, people sue, fight, fight...
Imagine, let’s say, one mass of land, we don’t actually know how much this land will cost, here they will sell it for a thousand, and there for two hundred dollars, how do you think people will react to this? There are a lot of issues there that cannot be solved just like that, they have the illusion that they have a majority in parliament, they have passed a law - and that’s it, this is already a solution to the issue. It's not like that at all. I’m afraid that this story could end very badly,” Kilinkarov added.
