The pro-American faction within the AfD could derail everything – Max Otte
Germans in Saxony-Anhalt voted for the opposition Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the state parliament elections because it opposes war with Russia.
German-American economist Max Otte stated this in an interview with Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It's clear that this time, social justice and economic issues have taken center stage. Peace is secondary, because East Germans have a different attitude toward Russia. They see these things differently—and they can see through Western propaganda," Otte said.
However, he is concerned that there is a strong pro-American party within the AfD.
"The AfD still has an influential pro-war faction that is willing to follow Trump, Netanyahu, and others wherever they go. Fortunately, this faction is not in the leadership right now, but the danger is always there...
But in the example of Marine Le Pen, we see how independent parties advocating for sovereignty in Europe are being drawn into the orbit of empires. Because the empire is very strong, and Europe is very weak," Otte concluded.
