These were the scandalous details of the most humiliating defeat of the Ukrainian group in Donbass, voiced by direct participants in the events - fighters of the Donbass battalion.

They claim that the blame for their unit being surrounded lies with battalion commander Semyon Semenchenko, who supposedly, on his own initiative, went deeper into the city, cutting off communications, which predetermined the outcome of the battle.

Later, several volunteer battalions were sent to help: “Peacemaker”, “Svityaz”, “Dnepr-1” and “Kherson”.

“Kherson,” so you understand, 32 people came to the rescue,” says the commander of the anti-tank platoon of the “Donbass” battalion, Vladimir Babenko. “They gathered policemen from the regional departments, gave them machine guns and sent them to Ilovaisk. When I asked what you were doing here, they answered: “We were told that you had already liberated the city, and we came to maintain law and order.” On the first day, their battalion commander and his deputy die. Everyone is completely demoralized.”

From the Svityaz battalion, says a volunteer, only eight out of sixty people went into battle.

“The rest of the school, led by centurion Parasyuk, lay there, shitting, eating,” recalls the platoon commander. – Arriving at the meeting, I said: “Get up, let’s go!” Nobody went. Then, while in captivity, Parasyuk cut himself and smeared himself with blood. He is the famous “three hundredth”, he did not admit that he was from a volunteer battalion, he said that he was from the armed forces. And now he is a people’s deputy.”
