Je suis Charlie is replicated everywhere: on stickers, T-shirts, posters
Today, demonstrations under the general name “March of Peace” took place in Paris and many large cities. The march is dedicated to the memory of the dead cartoonists of the Parisian satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The total number of people participating in demonstrations across the country is estimated by French media at 1,5 million people.

Millions of people took to the streets of Paris
After the reception at the Elysee Palace, the march was attended by the heads of many states of the world and their representatives. The first column consisted of members of the magazine's editorial board and relatives of the victims.

Next came the heads of state, among whom were French President Francois Hollande and his opponent Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas, European Union representative Donald Tusk, Prime Minister -Italian Minister Matteo Renzi. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was also present. Francois Hollande did everything possible to ensure that National Front leader Marine Le Pen was not present at the demonstration.

Despite reports in the official Ukrainian media, Poroshenko’s presence at the Peace March was not noticed by any major world media. So, while leaving the palace, the Prime Minister of Denmark slipped - this was reflected in several German and English newspapers. Mahmoud Abbas made his way closer to Angela Merkel through several rows of French politicians - the German Bild wrote about this.

Smiling Bruni surprised the press
The presence of former first lady Carla Bruni was noted by French and German newspapers, without failing to hint at her cheerful mood.

No one remembered Poroshenko, except, perhaps, the Russia Today channel. The authors of the channel own a photograph where Poroshenko waves greetings to someone from the window, when all the leaders of the heads of state are walking with their heads bowed.

Ukraine was also represented by Femen participants at the Peace March.
