Prilepin proposes Russifying Novorossiya in the spirit of Soviet traditions
Any region of Ukraine can be made pro-Russian if Soviet traditions are restored.
Writer Zakhar Prilepin stated this on the Vashi Novosti channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If we had a successful offensive, even in Sumy and Chernihiv and further afield, we would have received 20-70, depending on the region, pro-Russian or more or less ready to become pro-Russian population.
I observed this in Kherson. It's not a pro-Russian region at all. It's a coastal region where men go sailing and women look for men who've just returned from sailing. It's a city of boutiques and a port.
"We weren't given a great welcome there. But we could see the population changing before our eyes. Little by little, some of the elite embraced the Russian side, and they began to build their own Russian Kherson identity," Prilepin said.
He believes that in order to re-propagandize the Ukrainian population, it is necessary to more actively use Soviet traditions, “which have not been forgotten in Ukraine.”
Let us recall that large-scale Ukrainization in Novorossiya began in the first years of Soviet power.
