This was reported by the press service of the Crimean Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the department, rescue work in the disaster zone began immediately after receiving the signal:
“There are currently 26 ships in the disaster area. The rescue operation continues. It involves 1397 people and 32 pieces of equipment. 117 people were lifted from the water. 63 fishermen were rescued. Unfortunately, 54 dead were found. The fate of 15 people, including three Crimeans, remains unknown,” the statement says.

Last night, 300 km south of Magadan in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, the large autonomous freezing trawler “Dalniy Vostok” sank. The vessel was working in a group of fishing vessels. There were 132 people on board, including 78 citizens of the Russian Federation, 54 citizens of Ukraine, Latvia, Vanuatu, and Myanmar.
